homemade beefburgers
absolutely wonderful. had cheeseburgers at ricks the other day wondered, i could make this myself. also remembered the time pojie and i was in granada and we bought these wonderfully big handmade burgers with spices and everything.
so with pojie around, everything to do with food goes into hyperdrive. hehe, we made 2 extremely large beef patties flavoured with onions, green-red-yellow peppers, cumin seeds(maybe just a tad to much) and some sheesh-kebab shan spices. wonderful. they were big and juicy though i know now that the less the oil for frying the better and grilling it instead of frying was an option.
the beef patties were served with lettuce, fried onions and loads of cheese on plain white bread. (make do with whats available)

truthfully it's more cost effective to make your own burgers (compared to buying ready made burgers- not frozen ones) and tastes a lot better than the frozen beef patties sold. with approx 1/2kg of beef, we made 2 large patties and 6 normal sized patties.
costs (according to what was used)
beef 1/2 kg €4.00
peppers €0.20
onions €0.30
shan spice €0.90
cheese €1.00
bread €0.90
misc €1.00
6 burgers = €9.30
1 beefburger at ricks € 4.90
worth it???
